We’re Anthea and Will, garden educators and designers based in Paterson in the Hunter Valley. We teach practical, thoughtful gardening and simple permaculture, helping people understand their gardens with clarity rather than overwhelm.

Will works on design told through hand-drawn illustrations, shaped by a deep understanding of plants, soil and the underlying patterns that quietly shape a good garden. Anthea brings kitchen gardening experience, an eye for practicality and detail, and a way of helping people learn that feels welcoming and easy — no matter their starting point.

Over the years we’ve shared our permaculture knowledge, fresh produce, and love of gardening with growers’ markets, festivals, school, libraries, community groups, and council programs. Our own small farm continues to be the place where we test ideas, refine methods, and learn through the seasons.

We aim to make garden knowledge easy to understand and enjoyable to learn, the kind of learning people often tell us they wish they’d found earlier.
